Dear Sir/Madam,

Re: Description of Goods

On Date of purchase I purchased the above item from your shop for £ Cost of purchase. On Date I discovered that the item is defective. The problems are:

1) List defect/s

I understand that Section 14 of the amended Sale of Goods Act 1979 requires you to supply goods of a satisfactory quality. The fact that this item has the problems stated above suggests that it was inherently faulty at the time of purchase. I believe that the item was therefore not of a satisfactory quality and you are consequently in breach of contract.

In these circumstances, I am exercising my legal right to reject the item and claim a full refund of the purchase price of £ Costs claimed from you. In my view of the serious nature of the above defects, I am not prepared to accept any offer to repair the item.

Please respond to my letter by Date plus 7 days with your proposals to remedy this matter.

Yours faithfully,
