I acquired a Vehicle details on Date from Dealership under a hire-purchase agreement with you. I have now discovered that the vehicle is defective. The problems are:
1) Details of fault/s
I understand that under the Supply of Goods (Implied Terms) Act 1973 requires you to supply goods of a satisfactory quality. The fact that the vehicle has the problems stated above suggests that it was inherently faulty at the time of purchase, although this may need to be confirmed by an independent examination. I believe that the vehicle was therefore not of a satisfactory quality and you are consequently in breach of contract.
In these circumstances, whilst fully reserving my legal rights, I am prepared to give you an opportunity to repair the defects without any charge to me.
Please respond to my letter by Date plus 14 days with your proposals to remedy this matter.
